Since I've moved to Northeast Minneapolis, I've been attending Dr. Sketchy's Twin Cities at the 331 Club on a monthly basis. Last month I took first place, today I took third. It's always tons of fun. Today's model was Queenie Von Curves, and my drawing was featured on the City Pages slideshow.

Sculptor Nick Cave looks beyond the visual aesthetic when creating his rich, otherworldly, incredibly beautiful, sometimes grotesque, all-encompassing costumes and soundsuits. He considers dance, movement and the dynamics of the human body. He opens the wearer of these garments up to the possibility of a complete transformation.

This semester I'm teaching "Drawing Using Digital Media as an Essential Tool" here at the U of M, so I've been brushing up on my Photoshop/Wacom skills as of late. Here is Moz again, this time rendered as a digital sketch using different brush tools.
