$99 Sale at the Soap

Last night was the $99 sale at The Soap Factory, an annual fundraiser where artists donate 8" x 10" works which are then sold for $99 each. My piece is somewhere on this wall, can you guess which one it is? I'll give you a hint...it was made using the CNC router.

Coinciding with the $99 Sale was Andy Ducett's ongoing exhibition (runs Sept. 8 - Nov. 11), "Why We Do This." It is a truly amazing show that overtakes the entire space, which if you know the Soap, is HUGE! Here are some snapshots from my favorites parts. If you get a chance, I highly recommend seeing this one for yourself while it's up.

This sort of looks like my dad's basement.

Fake moving sky with turf to lay on.

Christmas trees and fake snow wrapped in plastic.

Giant Battleship? Yes please!

From the other side.

Hallway of white balloons and bubble wrap.

Swing solo.

Vintage airplane.

Wall of National Geographics.

Fake swimming pool with b-ball hoop.
