Walker Garden Quest

This coming August 4 is the First Free Saturday at the Walker Art Center. The theme? Garden Quest! This will involve lots of LARPing, my troll bridge, and a custom made sign. Check out my character's profile on the Walker Blog.

Snooki Caricature

I'm working all week drawing caricatures at the Anoka County Fair. Today was slow, so I did a demo drawing of Snooki for the wall.

Old Sketchbook Page

I was digging through some old sketchbooks and I found this page, probably from 3.5 years ago. I like this one!

Sweet Tooth

I was home visiting PA the other week and got a chance to go to the Emmaus Bakery and Allentown Farmer's Market. I found lots of delicious looking and inspiring treats!

Kickstarter Rewards

I've been working hard the last week to get all my Kickstarter backers their rewards. Some got tiny colorful 5" letters and others got 12" letters with custom painted illustrations. Here are a few of the big ones.

A Wedding Gift

Just yesterday, my cousin Toby got married to his lovely wife Livia. They both like to bowl so I designed, routed and painted this sign for them (based off a retro bowling alley sign). About 15" x 20"ish. Congrats to them both!

Super Giant Animal Cracker Photo Booth Sketch

I was invited by Minneapolis' SooVac Gallery to make a piece for their Sideshow this August (see pictures from last year). Essentially, it's an interactive carnival made by artists- right up my alley, I know. I came up with the idea to create a giant animal cracker box, with giant animal crackers, of course. You will be able to crawl into and have your picture taken from the front, with animals and friends of choice. Construction begins soon. Until then, here is a digital illustration of what I'm thinking.
