As part of my thesis installation, Jump On In!, I'm creating a troll bridge that crosses over a small "river" of blue balls. This first image is my small-scale mock up (done in about 6 pieces on the CNC router, plus the floor panels).
Below is just one of four full scale "bridge side" pieces, cut from MDF on the router. Each side was about a 6 hour cut.
Next, I've sandwiched a 2" thick piece of pink insulation foam between the two MDF sides and sanded down the edges.
I painted each side and added some supporting arches (also cut on the router) to the inner half of each bridge side. This is all I will show you for now, although the bridge is currently assembled in its entirety.
