These are old, but I've never posted them. In the beginning of last year I began this series of theme park map paintings in gouche. They are essentially the same map you'd get upon entering the park as a guest, but here I've added the employee areas (in highlighter yellow) that you don't typically see. These are both parks I've worked at. I started a third, but never finished...

This was an event I did in the beginning of the summer in conjunction with Minneapolis Art on Wheels (this post is long overdue). I drew live caricatures at the West Bank Social Center for the annual Flashbelt conference hosted here in Minneapolis. As I drew attendees, my friend/roommate/MAW guru, Andrea Steudel, took quick videos of the drawings and projected them onto a background of a cityscape rooftop that I had drawn earlier. She gave each caricature a motion/gesture dependent on what people were doing in their drawings. This one was lots of fun!!
